These are a few applications and games I've coded. I started learning QBasic in 1998 when I was in Gr8. I soon moved to VB4 and started learning some interesting things. In my gr10 Computer Science class they taught Turing, a learning language developed at U of T. In gr11 Computer Science class they taught Turing and VB6. In grade 12, we learned almost nothing.

This is the source code for my grade 12 computer sicence year-end project. Please note, it is not an executable program. It is used to control the LED Matrix Project, found in the projects section. It is posted for interests sake and cannot be redistributed without permission. There are a few bugs that haven't been worked out yet, so other programmers are more than welcome to give me a hand with those. The source code is written in Visual Basic 6, so a copy of that program needs to be installed to run it. If you have any difficulty running the code, let me know. I submitted this program as my gr11 Computer Science final
evaluation. It's designed to control the hardware in the Mini
RC Car project. This software allows you the ability to
control the car with the keyboard allowing for greater control
and also give you the ability to program the car, so you can
tell it to move forward for 5 seconds, then backward for 2 seconds... It's actually a fairly powerful program. If anyone's interested in mimicing my Mini RC project, I'll help you out and you can use my software to control it. (Now Supports NT/2K/XP also). This is a stripped down version of my Mini RC Control Software.
It has the basic functionallity of being able to control the
car's movement with the keyboard. It can be used as a starting
point to add your own functionality to the program or for
any other application where you would want to control the
parallel port. It's well documented and only has 20-30 lines
of code. If you do something cool with it, send me an e-mail and let me know. |
If you have any trouble with the software or can't get it running, let me know and I'll see what I can do. Any source code here is released under the GPL Version 2.

I tried installing the software in windows xp and I got an error" There was an unexpected problem trying to create or write log file ..... The error number is 7"

sir , firstly i would like to congratulate u for ur excellent and innovative work......sir we are working on a similar kind of project...we are having a toy car and it works with dual frequency remote control...but we are to trying controlled it by our computer system.....but we are facing problem in interfacing.....we dont know how to interface it with the system and what are the software and hardware requirements .....how can we get those things in india.....how much it will cost.....which battery should we use so that it works better and must be compatible with our car........sir, how can we increase the range of the transmitter so that it can run on a bigger area.....sir, please guide us with your valuable and technical knowledge........
